CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE 1

MISSION STATEMENT

1.1 Main purpose of the Alumni Association is to foster, maintain and support a mutually beneficial relationship between alumni and the university.

1.2 Alumni Association will closely work with its partner university and strive to champion a lifelong relationship between the university and its alumni.

1.3 Upon graduation students automatically become a member of the Alumni Association. Their status as an alumnus/alumna entitles them to participate in all Alumni Association programs, events and activities.

1.4 Alumni Association will let the alumni stay connected with the university and its current students. Thus, it provides an alumni network and encourages alumni engagement in the life of the university. Through this involvement, Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent will grow stronger and better serve its students and the greater society it attempts to serve.

1.5 Alumni Association leverages the resources, talents, and initiatives of alumni and friends to advise, guide, advocate for and support the Association and the university in achieving their

VISION

2.1 The Association aspires to be a primary linkage between the university and its family of alumni across the globe, to commit them to the university’s missions of lifelong learning, discover and engagement, and to attract them to university service.

ARTICLE 3

PRINCIPLES AND CORE VALUES

3.1 We value integrity, honesty and ethical behavior and strive to maintain a working environment that is built on mutual respect, understanding and freedom of expression.

3.2 We share the university’s commitment to lifelong learning, discovery and engagement.

3.3 We value fellowship, personal growth and development and the concept of community: local, regional and global.

ARTICLE 4

STRATEGIC PLAN

4.1 Alumni Association as an organization responsive to the needs of alumni relative to their careers, desire for lifelong learning and engagement, social interactions, and willingness to provide volunteer service and/or support to strengthen and advance the university.

4.2 Recognize alumni, faculty and students for their service, achievements and professional excellence in order to honor and showcase them within the university family.

4.3 Utilize the alumni center and conference center to the fullest extent to attract and serve alumni who return to the campus for specific programs or informal visits.

4.4 Maintain an effective Alumni Association Board of Directors by continually infusing interested and dynamic alumni leadership that provides professional experience, creative thinking, open-mindedness and diverse personal and cultural backgrounds for the benefit of the Alumni Association and the university.

ARTICLE 5

GOVERNANCE

5.1 The Board of Directors of the Alumni Association governs the Association by setting policies, providing guidance for the Association’s programs and activities, and represents the interests of alumni to the university. Service on the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association is open to any interested alumnus/alumna.

5.2 The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association must be a staff member and/or a graduate of MDIS Tashkent.
