"Grape Festival 2023"

For the purpose of demonstrating the eco- and agrotourism capacity of Tashkent region, on September 15, in Parkent district of Tashkent region, the International Festival called "Uzum Sayli" was launched. 

On the agenda of the festival are multiple events, such as demonstrations of the tourism capacity of our country, ancient horticulture and wine-making experiences, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to popularising rare species and subtypes of fruit harvests, business seminars, and workshops by leading foreign and local specialists.

Additionally, participants were deeply impressed by the cultural programmes that display national customs and traditions prepared by folklore groups and local pop artists.

There are planned several lectures by ambassadors of foreign countries in Uzbekistan, representatives of leading international organizations, the Chief of the Italian Wine Making Community, Leonardo Comuchchi, a successful businessman in horticulture in Serbia, Sasha Djonik, and the advisor of the Rector of Kalmik State University in Russia, Baatr Ochirov. Also, participants include representatives of huge and leading wine-making companies from South Korea, Singapore, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and more than 30 other countries.

In this event, among the participants were the authority and teaching personnel of the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, their students, as well as guests and foreign experts from Dubai, Kuwait, Turkey, and other countries.

Particularly at the beginning of the festival, the guests were informed about the information and statistics related to the field. Moreover, our students and staff are actively participating in organised seminars.

It is worth mentioning that two of our professors, Asgar Mahmud Sufyan and Farid Jamali, are among the lecturers on tourism at the festival.
