MDIS TASHKENT HOSTED A TRAINING ON “FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICES” FOR CHILDREN FROM MAHALLAS
On August 13-14, 2021, MDIS Tashkent hosted a training on “Food & Beverage Services” for children and adolescents from Naqqoshlik, Katta Dumbrobod, and Dumbrobod mahallas located in the Chilanzar district.
The training was conducted by Mr. Otabek Kattabekov, Food & Beverage and restaurant management specialist with over 10 years experience in international hotel chains and local hotels such as Lotte City Hotel Tashkent Palace, Tashkent Palace Hotel, Miran International Hotel, and Hilton Tashkent City.
During the training, the youth from the neighborhood learned about the basics of Food and Beverage Services, waiter/waitress main duties and responsibilities, telephone handling, grooming standards, F&B outlets, F&B service equipment, types of tables set-up, and etc. Moreover, in the practical part of the event participants had an opportunity to master their new-learned skills.
The main aim of the training was to provide support to the youngsters from neighborhood by equipping them with basic employability skills in hospitality. Upon successful completion of the training, all trainees were awarded with certificates.
