MDIS Tashkent is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic developments. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority is to ensure safety and well-being of our student and staff community, both on and off the campus. MDIS Tashkent will continue to brief you on the most recent amendments. 

MDIS Tashkent`s goal is to reduce the number of people on campus including staff  or any other visitors in order to slow down the potential transmission of the virus and protect vulnerable population from infection.

MDIS Tashkent took all improtant measures in order to countinue teaching and working remotely. Staffs and lecturers working remotely from their home. Only few number of staff are allowed to be present on Campus (under strict control of Medical Unit).

MDIS Tashkent has suspended all face to face teaching until the end of current Academic Year and whilst most of our staff are now working from home, you can still get in touch with us.

We will also continue scheduling Live Chat sessions to provide you an opportunity to speak to academic and support staff.

 

INFORMATION FOR VISTORS

All campus visitors, including staff and lecturers, must take the following preventive measures:

- check their body temperature before entering the campus;

- wear medical face masks;

- wash their hands frequently;

- keep at least 2 meters distance from others, thereby, avoiding large, crowded gatherings.

QUARANTINE ADVISORY

For strict implementation starting from March 16, 2020 to May 10, 2020

Dear MDIS Tashkent students and staff!

Please be advised, that due to the preventive sanitary measures, taken to hault the possible spread of infection, the campus will not be available for studies and other cross-curricular activities starting from 16.03.2020.

Please be advised, that in accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, the Quarantine is prolonged until May 10, 2020.

MDIS Tashkent will continue to operate on a distance learning mode during the aforesaid period. The schedule of online classes is available in the intanet.mdis.uz. Students can attend classes via zoom application.

FINAL EXAMS

The format and the date of final exams or other assesment shall be defined by the MDIS (Singapore) and Partner Universitites (University of Sunderland, UK and Bangor University, UK).

Currently MDIS Tashkent is working on the online final exams format in accordance with instructions of MDIS (Singapore).The format of examinations may differ according to the year of study and faculty. All relavant instructions will be provided by your lecturers, thus administration of MDIS Tashkent highly recommends its students to check their webmail and attend all online classes. The information related to examination processess of AY 2020, was provided during the online meeting with Exam Unit , Dean and SSU on May 1, 2020. Recording of the meeting will be further distributed by the coordinators of the MDIS Tashkent Student Services Unit.

 

ONLINE LIBRARY

At current, MDIS Tashkent provides access to the following databases:

  • Sunderland e-library for UoS students. Please contact Central Registry(cr@mdis.uz) for login and password;
  • The Financial Times Journal. Login: david@eos.uz Password: MDIS2020;
  • The Wall Street Journal. Login: david@eos.uz  Password: GQr2zwmW.

 

Database is an organized collection of data (books, magazines, journals, articles and etс.), generally stored and accessed electronically. Students usually access databases for better understanding of topics, for gaining extra information and extra research during the learning process. Using databases as a copy-paste source is illegal and pointless as all resources once included in database are copyrighted.

Extra accesess to e-library and additional recources such as Science Direct and Scopus shall be provided only upon official request of the student to MDIS Tashkent LRC.
