July 2019, MDIS Tashkent Tourism Research Team and Tourism Innovation Co-Learning Center were invited to join a social project - “Travel for all” organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development in the support of people with limited abilities.
MDIS Tashkent Tourism Research Team collected data about Paratourism in Samarkand city and made an analysis of its readiness for the activity. Also, the data on archeological sites of the city and its tourism infrastructure were collected.
In addition, several interviews with participants and organizers of the project were conducted in order to improve the Paratourism.
The project also manages a charitable account for the “Tourist service Center" SUE under the State Committee for tourism development to attract public funds. The funds received will be distributed in the following way: 50% - for the organization of trips for persons with limited abilities; 25% - for adaptation of tourism infrastructure facilities for persons with limited abilities; 25% - for social support of persons with limited abilities (business activities, wheelchairs and other special equipment).
The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism development invites all interested organizations and agencies to join this charity project to create favorable conditions for the development of social tourism in Uzbekistan.
