On April 28, 2018, Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent hosted the annual Open Day event.
The Open Day provides the chance to see MDIS Tashkent life ‘in action’ and meet staff and students. The main purpose of the event was to increase the awareness of potential applicants with the academic and social life of MDIS Tashkent.
Visitors of the event had a chance to be introduced to 2018-1019 Admission criteria, get general information about MDIS Tashkent academic programmes, as well as research & career opportunities offered to its students.
Within the framework of the event, the guests had a chance to take part in presentations and master classes organized by British Council – MDIST new partner, on the organization of exclusive sessions for MDIS Tashkent applicants during the enrollment process, free support on IELTS test information and examination session’s registration procedures.
In addition, there were free consultations and master classes on important tips and hints to get a good score in IELTS exam, organized by professionals from the British Council in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the event, the guests had an opportunity to go through a special Campus tour under the guidance of experienced volunteers who showed and talked about the Campus facilities: the main building, Learning Resource Centre, Conference Hall, lecture rooms, Sports Centre, hostel, and others.
Also during the excursion, the guests were invited to listen to the presentations delivered by international lecturers of MDIS Tashkent and visit the unique training centre - Tourism Lab, which has no analogues in Uzbekistan, where guests were given the opportunity to observe the best hospitality practices in the format of master classes on soft drinks preparation.
In addition, in the summerhouse of the campus, guests actively participated in quizzes, lotteries, team building games and other social activities organized by the members of the Student Council of the Institute, where winners received special prizes.
The record number of visitors confirms the scale and relevance of the past event for the Institute.
