Multilevel English Programme
The MDIS Tashkent Preparatory Courses provide three levels of instruction from Elementary to Intermediate, based on contemporary textbooks and educational resources. The teaching approach is well-balanced; it is designed to develop accurate language knowledge while emphasizing the overall fluency acquired through real-life situations. Courses focus on specific field skills such as grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, listening and speaking. In addition, the comprehensive programme comprises the test taking as an integral part of the course which is tailored specifically to meet the academic requirements.

Refreshingly modern yet reassuringly stable and recognized in its approach PCIE English Language programme offers a controlled and enjoyable environment for learning through careful monitoring of language progression and extensive skills coverage. PCIE programme provides an innovative combination of resources and materials presented through real-life topics that are set to spark the learners’ imagination and hold their attention throughout the course.
Specially designed to meet the learning needs of adolescents and young adults, PCIE programme offers 3 levels of General English with the appropriate amount of material and support for dynamic and memorable lessons.
PCIE 1(Elementary) and PCIE 2 (Pre-intermediate) (CEFR A1 - B1)
Give equal importance to all aspects of language learning through:
- carefully balanced content that grows with the students and their changing interests
- creative lessons presenting thematically linked vocabulary
- grammar exercises that provide students with a solid base for learning
- extensive range of activities that cater for different learning styles and contexts
- developing learners’ communicative competence with a strong focus on real-life communication skills
- equipping students with transferable learning skills and test-taking strategies adopted for the requirements of CEFR
- developing students' writing skills ranging from composing sentences to writing letters and essays. At each level, the process includes prewriting, sentence mechanics along with consistent and extensive practice
- motivating students with interesting readings and thought-provoking values curriculum
- preparing students for the smooth transition to the academic levels across the curriculum
PCIE 3 (Intermediate) (CEFR B1 - B2)
PCIE 3 is a language development programme that fosters students’ academic achievement. This level integrates both topic-based and skill-based approaches that enable students to acquire language and exam taking skills simultaneously. The course provides explicit, intensive and focused instruction that accelerates students’ language acquisition, reading and listening comprehension at the academic level; vocabulary along with oral and written communication skills.
The ample opportunities for achieving academic success are provided through:
- the strong focus on language skills required for effective exam taking
- fully-integrated skills programme leading to improved academic performance
- regular presentations – providing a platform for students to showcase the speaking and research making skills acquired through the course

Academic English Programme
PCIE 4 (Upper-Intermediate), PCIE 5 (Advanced) (CEFR B1 - C1)
The MDIS Tashkent PCIE programme offers a flexible course of Academic English allowing students to achieve their specified academic goals. The focus is on basic and advanced examination techniques supported by major international test taking systems:
- Writing an academic essay: stating and developing arguments/opinions; problem-solving; presenting information logically, coherently and cohesively; paragraph mapping-introduction, body of ideas, conclusion; sequencers and signaling devices; proof –reading/editing work as a part of drafting.
- Reading techniques: skimming & scanning for general or specific information (e.g.: data/figures); processing information from academic and authentic sources (magazines & internet); logical organization of information.
- Speaking: providing information in a formal interview context; giving an extended talk on a given topic; taking part in a formal discussion; giving a formal presentation /report.
- Listening: extracting information from texts of varied length e.g.: university lectures, radio interviews, radio documentaries, conversations; learning what information to be looked for and to be excluded.

Intensive English
In order to meet the requirements of the students’ various working schedule, MDIS Tashkent PCIE worked out the Intensive Programme on Multilevel and Academic English which allows its listeners to cover the three months 100-hour course within 5 week period. The desired results are attained due to intensive schedule comprising everyday three-hour sessions (*morning classes are available from June to August).
