Dr. N. Venkatesh obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; a Master degree in Computer Science and PhD in Computer Application - Engineering Education (Inter-disciplinary), from University of Madras, Chennai, India as well he also holds another Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University, India. He is a charted member of Microsoft and holds Microsoft Certification in MCAD.Net, MCPD.Net, MCSD.Net and MCTS in SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006. He is also an ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) Certified Trainer, Assessor and Course Developer awarded by WDA, Singapore.

He got a total of 17 years of work experience out of which over 12 years’ in Education and Training industry with different roles played as; Dean- Academic Affairs, Training Director, Academic Head, Assistant Dean, Chief Manager, Corporate Trainer, Train the trainer, Senior Lecturer. He had delivered and conducted a wide range of training in Information Technology, Business Management and Human Resources Management subjects for various Universities; from Australia (Monash University, Deakin University, University of Western Sydney); from UK (University of Greenwich, Liverpool John Moores University, Anglia Ruskin University, University of East London, University of Sunderland)  and from India (University of Madras). He had delivered a number of technical and marketing seminars in US, India, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for respective employers he worked earlier.

He is an Assistant Editor for Asian Journal of Management Sciences & Education (AJMSE, Japan) as well Associate Editor for International Journal of Research in Management & Technology (IJRMT, India). As Research Scholar, from NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Ministry of Human Resource Management, Govt. Of India) he has published more than 20 international journals to his credit.

As he conducted training for different age group from 16 to 72 years old from Diploma to Master degree whose profile falls in as Senior developers/ Network Engineers / Team Lead / Consultants / Testers / HR Managers/ Project Managers/ CIO, CEO’s on various projects specify training for various clients as well for University students from first year degree to post graduate level.

He worked in software industry for over a period of 5 years with different roles played - Business Analyst, Associate Consultant, Team Lead, and Software Engineer; for various clients in the United States and India whose company status was PCMM Level 5 (People Capability Maturity Model). As a Business Analyst he was involved with key projects at the Census Bureau, United States Department of Commerce and United States Department of Agriculture where he played a major role in the Business process identification and preparing requirement analysis documents and pre testing the site for functional requirement of the system. As a Team Leader developed many applications for various top MNC companies like Hyundai – Spares & Packing Division – (Bar code solutions and Data tracking system), Rane TRW – (Data warehousing), Saint Gobain – (Involved in the initial designing phase for MRP-Manufacturing Resource Planning)

His passion in teaching has brought him into academic that he believes will optimize his contribution by bring the industry experience in to the academic teaching and share his knowledge with the students

Dr. Francisco T. Roma, Philippines

He was a Senior Business Lecturer, graduated from the following programmes: Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Master of Business Administration, major in Management (MBA), Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce & Business Administration.  

With more than 15 years of teaching experience in the academy, 4 years in foreign universities and with 20 years of industry experience. He got an effective communication skills, a good team player, possess strong leadership skills and he is an effective lecturer in Business Administration and Management, Business Law and Human Resource Management.

Attended and participated in countless of seminars/workshops, which were academic related in the Philippines and in the foreign countries such as Kingdom of Bahrain, Japan and Uzbekistan.

Ms. Shafieh Dorry / Lecturer

Shafieh Dorry has joined MDIS since 2013 on a full time basis and since then worked as a visiting lecturer at Tashkent campus.

A brief career accomplishment, Shafieh has worn several hats during her non academic experiences both in multinational corporations and governmental corporation where she has handled several governmental projects in South East Asia, Middle East, South Africa and South America.

Alongside she has successfully participated several training sessions, conferences and seminars such as International Tourism Conference (ITC), 99th Session of Executive Council of the World tourism Organization, Member of World Youth Alliance (WYA), The Historical Heritage of Scientists and thinkers of the Medieval East and Its role and Significance for the Modern Civilization, International Investment and Financial Forum, 3 months of intense Public Relations and Integrated Marketing Communication with Presidents Park Group, Growing in Leadership seminar at ABAC University and many more Teacher training and Child Psychology trainings.

Mr. Carlos Martínez

After he left the University of León in Spain, Carlos Martínez went to London, where he worked in several companies. His main job was the day to day running of a chain of bookshops in Central London as Managing Director. He always wanted to come back to the University and the opportunity came 12 years ago when he arrived in Uzbekistan. Before joining MDIS Tashkent, he worked for Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) as Senior Law Lecturer, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the University of World Languages as a Spanish Language teacher. Carlos has conducted research regarding the Constitutional development of Uzbekistan and he has several projects in progress covering the different aspects of Islamic Law, the analysis of the Soviet Constitutions, the symbols of Picasso’s Guernica and the commercial implications of the 2007 Lisbon Treaty. Carlos holds an LLM in European Union Law and also a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning.

Mr. Hian Beng Lua

Beng Lua has been teaching students from different backgrounds and cultures for more than ten years and these days he is as passionate about education as he was when he first began. He has travelled extensively and has been involved in education in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and USA and has worked in China, Australia and Malaysia, where he was born, in New Zealand and now in Uzbekistan. One of his valuable skills is the ability to relate to students whatever their upbringing may be.

His current position is Marketing/ Management Lecturer at MDIS Tashkent.  His primary role is teaching marketing and management modules for the University of Sunderland and University of Bangor degree programs. In a previous position, his role was business lecturer at the Auckland campus of Wollongong University, North Shore International Academics (Auckland), Auckland Institute of Studies (Auckland) and Beijing Inti Management College (Beijing, China). He has also lectured in marketing in Sydney, Australia.  

In addition, prior to teaching Beng Lua has had a career in marketing, both as an executive and as a commodity trader. He was employed for 10 years in his home country, Malaysia. Even though he holds permanent residency in New Zealand, Malaysia remains a very important part of his identity and he returns home for holidays annually. He speaks Malay, Mandarin and English.

Mr. Konstantinos Tsontos

Konstantinos holds a first class B.Sc in Economics from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens / Greece and a M.Sc. in Operational Research (Engineering Production) from the University of Birmingham /U.K. He is a certified Economist (Athens Economic Chamber), certified Lead Auditor for Quality Assurance ISO9001/2000 series (TUV) and a certified Trainer (International Board of Certified Trainers and Greek Labor Organization). He has a vast H.R. experience (more than 20 years) holding Senior Managerial positions at National (Greek) and multinational companies. In parallel he has extensive consulting experience (partner at Euromanager and also free lance business consultant in areas of Human Resources, EU funded projects, Career Development and Quality Assurance). He has also served in the office of Deputy Minister of Employment (as advisor upon Employment policies, Vocational Training and Human Resources Development). Additionally he served as a General Manager at the Greek National Center for Vocational Orientation. Team member for the National Action Plan of Employment 2004 and for the National Strategic Plan for Development 2007 – 2013. Member of the “Uniform Registration of Referees” - Directory 1803 for evaluating H.R. Actions. He has conducted extensive training sessions and seminars at all levels and he is passionate about Lecturing. In Greece he served for 5 years as external Lecturer at the National School for Public Administration. He has written several articles upon H.R. and Career Development at Greek press and was a speaker in relevant conferences/events. After his job as Regional Training Officer - based in Uzbekistan - at the humanitarian organization “Médecins Sans Frontières”, he joined MDIS in January 2015.  

Mr Shavkat Mamatov

Mr Shavkat Mamatov holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Tashkent State University of Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University, USA.

From 2000 to 2003 he worked as a Leading specialist in Economic Analysis Department, as a Head of the Micro-Loan Lending Unit under EBRD Credit line, Joint-Stock Commercial "Pakhta Bank" Samarkand Regional Branch.

From 2003 to 2005 he worked as a Procurement expert in a "Bukhara and Samarkand Water Supply" Project Implementation Unit in Samarkand.

Since 2007 he worked as a Research expert in Anti-Monopoly Policy Improvement Centre (APIC) at the State Committee on De-monopolization and Competition Development.
